Semi Precious Shadow Palette Review

Retails for $26 USD/CAD – (Currently on sale on their website for $18)

So, this product was available for a limited time on Sephora from what I can gather i’m a tad late writing this post ( sorry for for being inactive! ) and they’re no longer available for purchase from Sephora.. However you can still purchase from Colour Pop.

To start off I just want to say I haven’t used or purchased any products from Colour Pop until this palette, I initially wanted to because I heard such incredible things about the brand and seen it on Sephora when making my annual Christmas purchase, But they didn’t have any lip products that interested me (only had glosses) and the palette I wanted was sold out, but this one was not only adorable and the colours looked lovely but super affordable! There’s 8 total shades in the palette so it’s a good size.

I’m surprised by how incredibly pigmented the shades are, with some shimmers they’re good but when you wet the brush they’re incredible and honestly I haven’t tried the wet brush trick yet because regular swatching and such has such incredible pay off. I honestly didn’t expect it to be SO pigmented.. They blend like butter completely, I’m honestly in love with it and the colours definitely are gorgeous (especially ”Easy go” it’s the cranberry shade and my favourite).

TIPS: Apply with your favorite shadow brushes. Flat and firmer brushes will give the most color payoff. Fluffier brushes are great for blending. Use a small angled brush to line the eyes.

About: It’s a pressed shadow palette, Highly pigmented, Feels ultra velvety and silky, Long wearing formula, Blends smoothly and evenly.

Shades include: Neutrals, Blues/Teals, Reds, Greens, Pinks, Golds.

The finish is metallic.

Rating: On their website it’s a 5 star rating.  (There is 33 reviews left)

About The Brand

I’m pretty sure by now most people who have any interest in Makeup has heard of Colour Pop Cosmetics.. It’s an ever growing company, affordable and highly pigmented.. Mostly popular for their matte lips (incredibly similar to Kylie Jenner’s lip kits). The brand is California base and only available online, also cruelty free!. They describe themselves as ” Luxury beauty at prices that won’t break the bank” which from what I can tell is true from my first experience and from talking to friends who have used products from their lines.

The shades Include :

  1. Celestial: warm champagne ivory
  2. Beam Me Up: icy pale blue
  3. Easy Go: vibrant cranberry
  4. Up & Atom: golden amber
  5. West Star: rich copper brown
  6. Bashful: soft icy green
  7. Upon a Star: cool rose
  8. The Game: antique gold
